Artist Statement
Jill Sutton's paintings blur the line between astronomy and biology. The investigation of surface, space, pattern, structure and atmosphere are elements that play a role in the abstracted circular forms and shapes. As these shapes and colors react to one another on the canvas, they create a new, indeterminate landscape.

Bio
Sutton has exhibited at the Elmhurst Museum of Art, San Francisco Museum of Art, as well as throughout the Midwest and West Coast. She was selected by James Rondeau, curator of the Art Instituted of Chicago for the exhibition "Art Futura" at the Chicago Cultural Center. In addition, she has been featured in the art book publication "Living Artists".
