Artist Statement
In my current work I am exploring symbols, text, landscape and abstraction as I search for how it is that we become wise. As best I can tell wisdom is an accumulation of bits and pieces, both experience and words. In my paintings and works on paper these visual elements are weaved together like patchwork quilts.
